Ginny Dolls
Ginny Dolls are produced by The Vogue Doll Corporation. In 1922 at the age of 32, Jennie Adler Graves established the Vogue Doll Shoppe in her home in Somerville, Massachusetts. The most popular of all the Vogue dolls is Ginny. At first, she bought bisque dolls from Armand Marseille, a manufacturer in Germany, and sewed intricate outfits for them. By 1930 Jennie became the leader in the doll industry.
By the start of World War II she produced her own dolls with new materials such as plastic. In 1951, the Vogue Doll Co. created the popular Ginny in hard plastic with sleepy eyes, painted eye lashes and Nuutex hair that could be washed combed and styled. Boyds Bears
Boyds Bears are produced by Enesco an American company specializing in the sales and distribution of giftware. Enesco is famous for making cuddly plush teddy bears for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. Boyds Bears are named for the city in Maryland where the company was launched in 1979. G.M. Lowenthal and his wife started Enesco and Boyds Bears.
In 1984, G.M. Lowenthal designed his first jointed teddy bear in honor of his son, Matthew. Boyds Bears are very durable and make a perfect gift.

Over time Skipper Dolls have changed from red hair to blonde and ever brunette plus several fashion pahses. In addition there were many different versions of Skipper including Twist and Turn, Malibu, Skipper on Wheels, and Living Skipper.
